Country walk (poem)

The leaves they fall opening up

a view to please

hills of green,shades of yellow,

paths of fern and purple heather

dusty paths dried by the hot sun

brambles, rambling roses and hazel

nut trees

red and bronze leaves fall

like spirits gone before

as though to feed and resurrect

them all

a rainbow fills the sky with colour

a wooden bench bareing some one’s

name that as gone before

here some one found rest from the

living and life.
